If so, we have an opportunity for a Category Manager to join our Regatta Product team here in Urmston, Manchester to be responsible for the briefing, development, sourcing and buying of part of Men's Active range, achieving target margin and delivery on time to the required quality.
The Impact you will have in this role is:
Lead the market research of the Men's Active range across UK and Europe and gain in depth understanding of the Regatta key wholesale customer and own multi-channel distribution - retail, online and concessions. Schedule research trips as well as attending key specific industry and fashion trade shows in the UK and Europe. Provide the design and development team with a clear definition of range requirements, price points, fabric, fit and construction requirements. Work with the Design team to provide clear design and branding direction to ensure the brief enables creativity and innovation Keep product range documentation and systems updated as required, set-up product and colours on PLM, making sure to inform cross functional teams on updates. Lead the fabric development and sourcing for the Men's Active range. To ensure prompt, clear and accurate fabric brief to the Asia team. Set fabric performance standards, requirements and guidelines. Lead the handover and development of the Men's Active range, along with the Design team, to the Asia offices. Work with the Asia teams to clarify any queries promptly to ensure all development samples and salesman samples are available for key meetings. Have an in depth understanding of the Men's Active range sales price list and market key price points & carry out costing comparisons pre and during the development phase, ensuring product is developed to clear price point strategies. Understand competitors and market leaders ranges/price points and keep up to date with their new trends, developments and ranges updates. To bring suitable and commercial product innovation for the Men's Active range from Asia when visiting fabric mills, garment factories and industry exhibitions in Asia. Provide confident and enthusiastic range presentations at critical milestone meetings - strategy and samples review, sales launches, customer meetings and various group and retail presentation etc. Offer technical expertise in building new marketing and product stories and concepts for own range. Work with Marketing to ensure correct bullet points and performance claims for each product are issued on relevant systems and the catalogue. As our future Category Manager (Men's Active) you will have:
In depth knowledge of building a specifications for appropriate product area. Checking SMS and bulk specs to ensure samples and production are correct to the original brief. Understanding fabric performance & testing standards & ability to challenge results. Understand garment construction and capabilities of Regatta factories to enable them to create best product at best price. Understanding of REACH and general Product Health and safety. Contribute to company planned growth by achieving margin & delivering great product on time. Thorough understanding of the Regatta supplier base code of compliance. To understand and follow the Regatta sustainability strategy in product and fabric developments. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and to deadlines. Undertake trips - UK and Europe for research and Asia for supplier meetings, factory visits and fabric show's. Strong delivery / service orientation. Attention to detail. We can offer you:
