Trainee Landscaper , The Role : I am recruiting a Trainee Landscaper to join the growing special Projects team at CPS Grounds Ltd, working on landscape and outdoor projects, mainly for commercial clients including schools,hotels and sports facilities. Projects are highly varied and may include building a memorial garden, re-wilding areas, building decking and patios, creating willow structures etc. and will also include maintenance projects including fixing fencing etc. Alongwith your team you will work to ensure projects are delivered to time, budget and the required quality standards and as your skills grow there will be the opportunity to progress into Team Leadership and Project Management. The Company : CPS Grounds Ltd is a leading and well-established Grounds Management company, who also fulfil a range of landscaping and outdoor projects. Working primarily within the education and sports facilities sector they maintain over200 schools and sports grounds, as well as hotels, leisure centres, industrial parks grounds and housing estates. Based in Warmley, East Bristol (BS30) they service clients throughout Bristol, Somerset, Bath, and South Gloucestershire.
Trainee Landscaper, Training and support will be provided but responsibilities will include :
- Delivering a variety of landscape projects, including hard and soft landscaping, to a high standard in a timely and professional manner
- Hard landscaping to include cement, patio laying and brick or stonework, ground work to include using a digger for hard core/aggregate construction and basic carpentry for decking, fencing etc.
- Soft landscaping to include planting trees and shrubs, turfing, seeding, mulching, topsoil installation, grass cutting and maintenance and ground preparation.
- Communicating and building relationships with clients, designers, external trades and team members.
- Maintaining tools, equipment and machinery on site and ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to.
Trainee Landscaper, skills and experience required :
- Have an aptitude for practical work, be physically fit and happy working outside
- Be a good team player with excellent customer service skills
- Have a strong work ethic, be keen to learn and motivated by delivering high quality work.
- A UK driving license is preferable but not essential as all jobs start from and return to the yard in Warmley (BS30).
- The right to work in the UK and willingness to pass a standard DBS check
