Waking Night Support Worker

Gray Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Waking Night Support Worker to join their team in Telford, supporting a young gentleman in his 20's with a mild learning disability and Autism.

The person supported is nonverbal and responds well to softly spoken calm individuals who will understand the routines in place and the communication needs. The person we support enjoys going out in the car, being outdoors in a safe environment and participatingin activities such as swimming and using my trampoline.

The support is provided in a house in Telford, Shropshire and the team is 2-to-1 support by a mixed team of both male and female Support Workers.

The vacancy is for 12 hour waking night shifts either 36 or 48 hours per week.

Main Responsibilities As a Support Worker, you will be key in supporting adult’s with complex needs within their own home and within the community. We are looking for positive, compassionate, and caring support workers who have the right values and attitude to grow and developwith Gray healthcare.

You will have an interest, motivation and enthusiasm to develop experience and skills to work with people with complex needs. Ideally you will have at least Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards the qualification within GrayHealthcare.

You will be able to manage difficult situations calmly and work within agreed evidence based PBS plans. You be able to complete good quality support records, detailing the activities of daily living. You will need to be resilient, emotionally, and physicallyfit to do this role
