Overview : We are seeking a highly organised Manufacture Costing Estimator to create accurate and comprehensive cost projections, using their knowledge of construction techniques, production processes, and materials pricing. You will be responsible for analysing and predicting labour, materials, and other costs, to determine the cost of a project, product, and service.

Key Responsibilities : Estimates of both labour and materials from concept drawings and sketches, task descriptions and proposal documents

Liaising closely with other departments to refine internal cost estimates

Obtaining quotations for 3rd party goods and services

Working with supply chain to develop estimates and / or drawing on historical cost records and modifying as necessary

Break down all expenses and prepare reports to assist management in the organising, planning, and scheduling of work.

Collect cost data to estimate total costs for both current and future projects.

Liaise with HR to select subcontractors or vendors and in hiring labour to keep cost estimates on schedule and ahead of schedule.

Liaise with vendors, clients, and management to discuss estimates and resolve issues that may arise.

Perform onsite investigations during the course of a project and adjust project budgets as needed.

Liaise with management and recommend ways to reduce cost in the areas of labour, materials, and assembly to benefit the company.

Track actual costs as a project develops and assess cost effectiveness of projects, services, or products.

Set up cost reporting and monitoring procedures and systems in order to streamline the process.

Generate cost estimates for machining times, such as CNC.

Generate cost estimates for fabrications.

Generate costing models for the business.

Skills and Experience

Relevant industry experience.

Proven manufacturing / machinery experience in order to improve company efficiencies

Proven knowledge of CNC machinery methods (desirable)

Strong Analytical Skills
