Material Purchase Requisitions commensurate with various product Bill of Material requirements, current stock holding and consequential stock purchase requirements for both GC & QCL (Stirling Gas)

  • Develop Planning capabilities in line with the business requirements as we move onto JDE
  • Material receiving, stocking and kitting of electronic, mechanical and optical assemblies and sub-assemblies as per the master production schedule to meet the business requirements for Cascades product delivery program.
  • Maintain the Production Schedule, working closely with production Manager to establish any material and or resource issues.
  • Inventory control.
  • Close liaison with Goods In and Kitting functions to ensure clean kits are issued per the master production schedule requirements.
  • Close liaison with Manufacturing and Purchasing functions to ensure expedient processing of Purchase Requests and Orders
  • Escalate and expedite supplier issues
  • Provide weekly materials availability status reports to Operations and Manufacturing Managers
  • Create and send purchase orders to suppliers, ensuring that the transfer of information is timely and accurate, Current QCL have around 595 suppliers, of which 143 suppliers are for Bill of Materials Items.
  • Ensure that requested delivery dates and suppliers’ deliveries meet materials requirement planning.
  • Supports and builds relationships with suppliers
  • Input all necessary information into procurement database to monitor suppliers and their quotes.
  • Ensure all transactions are properly screened and recorded in accordance with the company's Trade Compliance procedures and to escalate andy comcerns or questions
  • Assist in the RFQ process including negotiating best prices from Suppliers for all types of purchases
  • Distribute purchase orders for approval
  • Work closely with Third party suppliers to ensure strategic supply is sustained

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience of Material Requirements Planning, Scheduling and Inventory Control in a manufacturing environment
  • Ideally CIPS qualified.
  • Good communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Experience of working in a matrix organization.
  • Proven ability to interface with peers, teams, suppliers and customers at all levels
  • Previous experience using an ERP system, inventory management and planning
  • Computer literate (Inc. MS Word, Excel)
  • Fluent in both English
