This involves strategic planning, understanding consumer behaviour, managing the planning and implementation of product innovation projects, defining product communication requirements and identifying opportunities to drive commercial performance with trading responsibility for the assigned games. The role can be considered as a ‘hub’ for the games, collaborating with cross-functional teams across all product touchpoints to be a driving force for excellence, ensuring existing and new players experience a high level of satisfaction with the National Lottery’s Draw-based Games, and maximising good causes contributions while operating with integrity and protecting players from harm.  Role Responsibilities: Sets the product vision and leads the development and execution of the annual product roadmap.  Develops the business case for product change and new product development projects, working in collaboration with multiple functions to deliver the project to market. Monitors performance post launch.  Defines business briefs for product-related communication, channel and customer experience requirements, particularly where related to product change projects.  Creates and delivers the Draw-Based Games Event plan, supported by the brand and marketing teams.  Works closely with the Commercial Planning and Trading and Marketing teams to deliver the product Annual Business Plan artefacts for Draw-Based Games, define KPIs and monitor performance.   Leads weekly trading analysis for product, and monitors longer-term performance trends, by interpreting insight from consumer research, trading data and the external environment. Suggests commercial initiatives as appropriate and/or decisions within the product roadmap.   Work closely with the equivalent Brand Manager and the Consumer Insights team on targeting strategy and game positioning for Draw-Based Games, annual Brand Plans and monthly media plans  Supports transformation of the product and customer experience through retail and digital channels.  Understands the Product team's Licence compliance responsibilities, ensures that these are met at all times. Manages relevant risks and adhering to key processes and controls Champions bringing the outside into Allwyn to optimise strategic thinking and product/experience execution  Champions ‘healthy play’, ensuring that responsible play and player understanding is at the heart of decision making.   Management of one direct report, providing clear direction, objective setting, coaching and developing them to deliver the business objectives and guide their personal development. Key Skills and Experience:  Proven experience of successfully leading and motivating a team to deliver  Able to work cross functionally and influence people at all levels of seniority  A strong written and verbal communicator with the ability to adapt style depending on the audience   A strategic thinker who has personally delivered cross-functional projects to deliver a step-change in performance  Able to triangulate data/insights from multiple sources to highlight trends, escalate issues and develop/activate tactical and contingency plans  Able to demonstrate ability to ‘walk in consumers’ shoes and understand and interpret plans through this lens  Has experience of leading others to solve complex problems. Takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions  Has experience of developing and implementing new processes with a view to delivering continuous improvement  A competent planner, confident with taking the lead, and has demonstrable experience of cross-functional delivery    Naturally curious, challenges the norm, whilst being receptive and considerate to other ways of approaching things  Is articulate and able to flex their style to communicate effectively with many different types of stakeholders   Can take an idea from early concept stages through to development, launch and then lifecycle management of the product.  Understanding of portfolio management of Draw Based Games preferred, able to identify a balance of appealing games that remain relevant, while recommending and leading adjustments accordingly.
