CSS Recycling are the leading processor and recycler of WEEE waste in the UK, through the expertise of our people and the investment in technology we promote and deliver a sustainable solution for recycling of WEEE. Established for over 35 years we have major contracts with local authorities, utility companies and businesses alike. We are looking for a Weighbridge Operator to join our busy yard team based at our Newbury Yard.

You will be operating the Weighbridge, so we are looking for a responsible individual to ensure safe control of vehicles in and out of the yard.

Hours of work : Monday to Friday - 07:30 to 17:00 (45 hours per week) although some flexibility will be required due to the nature of work. Day work only.

Qualifications

GCSE Maths and English

Experience

1 year administration

Data Entry

Skills

• Punctual, polite, professional and courteous towards customers
• Safely control vehicles in and out of the yard passing data onto the yard
• Weighing material and producing weighbridge tickets
• Organised and have a good level of initiative when it comes to thinking on your feet
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written so a good standard of English is required
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Completion of hazardous waste documentation and checking duty of care paperwork
• Matching reports and checking data
• Liaise with the Yard Manager and our other sites regarding deliveries and collections
• Fire Warden duties
• General tidiness of the office/Weighbridge area to always ensure a safe environment

Salary/Hourly rate : £10.42 p/h - on completion of the weekly 45 hrs a Bonus Rate of £1.20 will be added to the hourly rate.
