Job Category : ManagementLocation : Romford Library, London Borough of HaveringHours Per Week : 21.00Start Date : Immediate StartStart Time : 09:00End Time : 17:30Salary: £17.10 Main Purpose of the Job/Key Objectives: Be responsible for the day-to-day management of a level 3 branch library within the borough with up to 10 staff. Ensure that it is managed in an efficient and effective manner Manage partnerships within the branches including CAB, PASC’s and drop in services on a regular basis. Help recruit, as well as manage and support up to 70+ volunteers. To develop an effective partnership between staff and volunteers, to enhance the service offered during core opening hours and to extend opening hours if possible.Promote a positive image as a service provider to the local community, working to ensure all customers receive an efficient, effective and high quality service and encourage further partnership to deliver the local agenda Provide first line access to customer’s for all library, council and voluntary services. Be actively involved in writing the Branch Service Plan with Senior Managers which will reflect the Key Priorities set out in the 3 year Library Strategy, Library Service Annual Plan, Public Library Benchmark Standards and national customer service awards QualificationsDesirableICT-related qualification, e.g. ECDL, CLAIT .
