The company currently wishes to recruit a mechanically minded, motivated, and driven Maintenance Assistant to work as part of the Dunbia (Dungannon) site Maintenance Team within our Retail Factory. This represents an excellent opportunity to work as part of a highly skilled team with the potential for progress within the team.
The Role-
Reporting to the Maintenance Shift Supervisor/Manager, the main duties and responsibilities will include: ¿ To carry out tool changes, equipment strips down and rebuilds requiring non-specialized skills. ¿ Basic preventative maintenance
- oiling, greasing, tidying. ¿ Assisting maintenance engineers with Maintenance tasks when required. ¿ Visual checks on equipment during machine assembly. ¿ Reporting, both written and verbal, of faults requiring specialist skills. ¿ At all times ensure a safe working environment. ¿ Light repair work. ¿ This is a two shift, 2-week rotating early and late shift pattern.
The Person-
Essential criteria : ¿ Previous experience in an industrial environment. ¿ Awareness of the main requirements of Health and Safety legislation and good practice relevant to the duties of the post. ¿ Ability to work as part of a team, possessing good communication and problem-solving skills. ¿ Ability to follow instruction. ¿ Possess a positive attitude and the willingness to learn. ¿ Excellent written and verbal English. ¿ At least 1 years¿ experience in a similar role.
