As a result of this continued success, we are expanding our teams in Dungannon Business Park. We currently have opportunities for a Inventory Planner. Position Details The Inventory Planner will be responsible for parts planning and inventory control. They will provide input to the planning/purchasing departments and develop inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and product phase outs. This role will also be responsible for managing overall inventory levels and budgets. Each inventory planner, as part of the planning team, will join the team as we learn together to grow our expertise to become best in class and will have areas of specialization along with a general planning responsibility across defined brands and locations. The area of specialization, or the global process ownership, includes the complete ownership, process development and multi-brand execution and support of a dedicated business process.We are looking for innovators who have ability to drive business results with a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets while working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes and parts availability performance. This role will partner with and be guided by internal supply chain experts and external collaboration engagements. The inventory planner will play an important role in the delivery of strategic transformation projects with a focus on business analytics and inventory planning. • Provide monthly demand plan forecasts and projections based on historical trading data, seasonal demand patterns, sales forecasts and item life cycles, also referencing supply chain availability, warehouse constraints and expected service levels.• Directly manage “Demand Plan” for three sites, located in Northern Ireland, the Netherlands and the USA to satisfy world-wide customer demand and internal downstream warehouse demand. Plan distribution of excess inventory between sites.• Maintain and review system master and planning data (e.g supplier lead times)• Actively control and calibrate the planning system parameters, replenishment rules, stock levels as required for all materials while working to minimise Excess and Obsolete inventory.• Track planning efficiency at product group level to address availability challenges and reduce surplus inventory, maintaining inventory budgets within targets.• Identify and correct reasons for availability and budget anomalies, predict future availability/budget obstacles and take timely action to mitigate.• Adjust inventory value and availability levels to changing business requirements.• Analyse Syncron planning system output to discover and correct abnormalities created in system generated order levels and review system performance. • Produce monthly inventory projections using calculated forecast demand and current supply/demand data based on system dates. About you • 2+ years’ experience in inventory/demand planning• Advanced Excel user • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Commitment to continuous improvement and developing new processes.• Ability to work under pressure, plan your own workload and manage tight timelines.• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to handle very large data sets and recognise trends therein.• Proficient in mathematics and statistics• University Degree, preferably in Mathematics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant discipline• Experience with Oracle ERP system and Syncron Inventory• Good knowledge of mathematics / statistics preferably with specialization at least in one area from: predictive analytics / mathematical (linear, convex) optimization / probability and stochastic process.• Good understanding of mechanical systems, technical drawings, BOMs structure.• Experience with SQL and at least one scripting language (R / Python)Travel:• Readiness to travel (approximately 10%)
