As we continue our mission to make people happy through chocolate, we’re looking for an Engineering Planner to join our Engineering Team on a permanent basis. This key role within the Engineering team, works to ensure full utilisation and availability of resources, both labour and materials, whilst striving to improve operational performance. Working as part of a team you will support Engineering and Operational teams to deliver world class levels of service in the manufacturing facility by focusing on asset availability and reliability. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm. The onsite location for this role is at our Factory ‘Hadley Park’, in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, right in the heart of where our chocolates are made. There will also be occasional travel to our Distribution Centre ‘Alpha’ in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire. Hadley Park is just 5 minutes off the A141 and 1.3 miles from Huntingdon train station, with direct rail links to London King’s Cross. What you’ll be doing…. Support Engineering and Operational teams to create, maintain and review planned preventative maintenance regimes for all assets on site, using OEM recommendations and current performance data , alongside industry best practice. Plan and schedule maintenance tasks by organising resources in collaboration with the operational planning teams to ensure maximum asset availability. Scoping / ordering / maintaining availability of critical spares using CMMS and Dynamics purchasing software. Work closely with Reliability Manager to optimise improvement activities. Integrate site services requirements and resource, including contractors, to maintain legal compliance. Generate reports and KPI’s on asset performance as required. Support and engage with a culture of Continuous Improvement. Champion a safe working culture and ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety and General Manufacturing Practices Who you are… Essential Able to demonstrate excellent analytical, planning, problem solving and organising skills. Able to show strong communication skills as well as working collaboratively and showing passion and enthusiasm. Experience with CMMS software/Microsoft office packages. Competency and understanding of production equipment. Maintaining the Site Food Safety, Product Quality, GMP and General Housekeeping standards. Desirable Understanding of engineering best practices and ways of working. Knowledge of visual management, improvement projects and Six Sigma. An Engineering qualification or equivalent experience. Understanding of Root Cause Analysis. Health & Safety awareness. Who are we?
