Operational Buyer

Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for an Operational Buyer for a full-time, permanent opportunity on behalf of an award-winning manufacturing business based near Cannock. Reporting into the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the executionof all supply chain related activity, attached to their largest commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for effective material planning and the correct releasing of production orders
  • Ensuring shortages are managed to production orders and kept to a minimum so as to not affect production output
  • Procurement of items in line with demand
  • Updating lead times in the CRM system
  • Dealing with suppliers and communicating with customer service regularly
  • Assisting with implementing supplier agreements and strategy
  • Supplier selection
  • Contribute to customer forecasting process
  • Attending and contributing to departmental meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
