FINANCE ASSISTANT

  • Part time/ full time (3 days minimum)
  • Office based
  • Elmstead Market, Colchester
  • Ongoing temp
  • Experience with purchase ledger, sales ledger and VAT necessary

Duties to include, but not be limited to :

  • Process of supplier invoices and payment using online banking.
  • Process of intercompany payments.
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Update of fixed asset schedule and depreciation.
  • Accruals and prepayments.
  • Bank reconciliation multi-currency.
  • Processing and despatch of sales invoices to customers.
  • Credit control.
  • Processing monthly expenses.
  • Support the Finance Manager with all accounting functions including monthly management accounts, budgets and preparation and submission of annual accounts.
  • Liaising with other internal teams where required.
  • Communication with customers and suppliers as required to support the business.
  • Be responsible for monitoring department and own KPI’s and reporting on these when required.
  • Any other associated duties necessary for the successful running of the company as directed by the Finance Manager or Managing Director to support the UK business or the German HQ.
