Role Profile

Cast UK are partnering with a well established Retailer/Distributor with an international presence, based in Cannock to assist them with the recruitment process of an Import/Export Controller to work out of their operation in Cannock. In this role, you willensure all of the Company's import & export compliance requirements are satisfied in an accurate and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Main point of contact day to day within the business for import and export queries
• Log and monitor goods under IPR/EUR and ensure compliance with HMRC procedures
• Drive process improvements in duty mitigation and controls surrounding trade and supply chain between GB, NI, ROI and Rest of Europe
• Complete all paperwork to ensure import duty and VAT is paid to HMRC in a timely manner
• Training/educating the business regarding import/export procedures & compliance including duty mitigation and duty management process

Key Skills

• Experience of working in a international company with import/export knowledge of minimum 3 years
• Strong communication skills in terms of providing advice and ensuring that the business meets all compliance requirements, whilst building and maintaining positive relationships across the business
• Qualification from accredited trade body (desirable)
• SAP and DBS experience (desirable)
