This is a part time permanent position

This is not a carers role

We are a network of people, who provide advice and guidance to adults; in particular older people, but it can be any adult over 18yrs who requires a home visit to enable them to remain living in their own homes. We’re also here to help Informal carers.

The job involves visiting people in their own homes - on an appointment system - and explaining the help and support that is available to meet their individual needs. It is not a personal caring role.

The starting salary is £11.00 per hour plus travelling expenses. Full training and support will be provided but you must have a good knowledge of the local community and the district. An interest in or experience of Learning disabilities and autism would be beneficial but not essential.

You must be able to demonstrate that you can proactively engage with and support people (especially older people and those with learning disabilities and autism) in the community often on a one-to-one basis. Working as part of a remote team you must have excellent spoken and written communication skills and possess the ability to solve problems. You must have good IT skills, a full driving licence and use of your own car.

Pay: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
