Key responsibilities Manage the day to day operation of the technical function in Southall, including: - Ensure auditing and checking of compliance in production areas in line with the Quality Management System for all process related manufacturing jobs & tasks - Ensure that all members of the technical team are operating in a safe way and that required risk assessments and actions required for H&S are completed - Ensure the checking of standards set within the factory teams are adhered to through layered confirmation/visual assessments/GMP auditing - Ensure customer complaints data is being entered into the relevant database & complaint investigations are completed correctly to identify root cause and agree corrective actions - Ensure taste panel results are reviewed and that agreed corrective actions with Ops teams are taking place. - Ensure required report templates are completed on time, in full and accurately for customers and other stakeholders. - Ensure timely information on quality KPIs in a standardised format and that information is being shared with the operational teams (through meetings and display boards) to maintain focus and enable continuous improvement. - Ensure HACCP in production areas is being implemented and documented records kept. - Ensure the management/authorise of concession requests from Ops teams and agree actions required. - Ensure the management of non-conformances to the business where non-conformance is identified. - Ensure the effective close out of all non-conformances raised (during audits or during shift) by working with Ops teams to agree corrective actions and verifying completion. - Manage and support the QAT function during the production shift so that appropriate technical cover and support if provided to the business. Qualifications and skills Relevant experience of quality systems, operating and implementeing them, preferebly in a food production environment.
