Change Manager - Financial Services

You will be required to design and implement a robust change management and communications & engagement strategy and approach across the portfolio. You will work closely with the project and programme managers and the leadership team to drive change acrossthe wider organisation through communications and stakeholder engagement - helping change stick. There are a large number of projects, all of which require a systematic change and communications approach and roll out of detailed change and comms on each specificproject.

Change management :

  • Define a change management framework and methodology to support ongoing, sustainable change that compliments our current change framework
  • Design and implement the Change strategy and plans for all your projects. Work cross functionally to communicate it and ensure successful delivery
  • Design and implement the Communications & Engagement strategy and work with L&D to design supporting L&D plans to ensure the delivery and embedding of change
  • Work cross functionally with Change and IT to identify training needs for the successful execution of projects (leadership and management) and affected colleagues (identifying new ways of working)
  • Contribute to business case building, to ensure the people-impact and resources required for change management are well understood, documented and accounted for
  • Assess change impact and operational readiness within projects and across the change roadmap, conducting impact assessments and identify key stakeholders
  • Anticipate resistance to change and design a plan for identifying and managing resistance effectively
  • Lead business readiness and go-live change management activities for designated initiatives
  • Provide input, requirements and support the design and delivery of key projects/programmes e.g. guiding training requirements and design, advising on user acceptance testing (UAT) approach etc.
  • Enable the handover of plans and capability, support the transition into business as usual and move towards continuous improvement
  • Monitor adoption or change, reporting on change effectiveness and measuring, analysing and responding to performance metrics, while also linking to expected benefits.

Stakeholder Management :

  • Lead on stakeholder management across your projects and develop and implement a stakeholder management strategy and plan
  • Proactively provide Change Management guidance and coaching to business leaders and programme managers - supporting them to deliver sustainable change in an effective way
  • Build and manage a team of champions / advocates in the organisation to share key messages and drive organisational change

  • Develop short and long-term goals, KPIs, and objectives, to help to monitor adoption of change and analyse performance metrics which link to the original business case
  • Regularly measuring the effectiveness of change management interventions, adapting your plans accordingly
  • Work cross functionally to ensure that benefits relevant to change, stakeholder and people management are captured and monitored

Team & Resource Management :

  • Support resource management of projects and feed into capacity/capability discussions during business case development and throughout project lifecycles

Experience :

  • Experience working/consulting on multiple change projects and successfully delivering and embedding change - including IT implementations (financial services desirable)
  • Experience implementing change management principles, methodologies and tools on change programmes
  • Deep understanding of change comms & engagement current best practice and emerging practices
  • Experience developing comms in a range of media, including written, graphic, web and face to face channels
  • Experience in evaluating change readiness, risks, issues and required actions and interventions. Can define and measure success metrics and monitor progress of change

  • Excellent communication skills - both listening and engagement skills and presentation - with an ability to simplify complex problems
