• Job Introduction _
• Cumbria Waste is a leading Waste Management Operator and has an exiting opportunity to join our expanding team. Based at our Hespin Wood site, you will work in a dynamic operation with varied duties including (once trained) the use of mobile plant equipment. As a Trainee Plant Operative you will assist the site management, will be quality-focused and take a key role in the day-to-day operation of site activities, with an efficient and effective approach to deliver a high quality product_
• What you’ll do :_
• Operate and maintain (once trained) plant and machinery in our Material Recycling Facility.
• Complete daily checks and defect reporting for the plant, keeping plant clean (inside and out)
• Effectively manage vehicles delivering or collecting from site, with a quick and effective turnaround
• Have a strong understanding of expected quality control, understanding specifications and targets
• Participate in a range a duties in addition to plant operations, including manual handling and keeping a clean, tidy workplace
• Work safely, according to our high standards, and continue to develop skills
• Requirements _
• Although Mobile Plant experience would be advantageous, this is not essential as full training will be given._
