Student Retention and Engagement Coordinator

The RoleWe are looking to recruit an experienced, pro-active and highly self-motivated individual as a Student Engagement and Retention Coordinator. On a day-to-day basis you will coordinate activity designed to support student engagement and retention. This activity will include the coordination of wellbeing check-ins for students and the supervision of staff carrying out this activity. You will also lead on the recruitment, training and supervision of the university’s team of student peer mentors. You will take a proactive approach, ensuring that staff and mentors involved in student retention activities are well briefed and able to signpost students appropriately.This is a new role within the directorate and you will be expected to work closely with student support teams across the university and with the Programme Manager (Access, Attainment and Progression) in particular. This provides a great opportunity to draw on your abilities to build effective relationships, lead a team and compile reports based on data. Additional InformationThe role is an on-campus role at the university's York campus. It is 1 FTE (37 hours per week). The working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate. Unfortunately this role is not eligible for Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship however we welcome your application if you are able to evidence right to work in the UK via an alternative route.
