What is a Water Restoration Technician Apprentice?
Our Restoration Technicians are responsible for restoring water supplies when there has been an interruption to customers water supplies (such as a burst water main). They use engineering techniques such as tankering, overland supplies, line stopping, emergencypumps and generators to bring customers back on water, all whilst maintaining the highest water quality standards both in and out of hours. What's unique about this Apprenticeship is that you will go through LGV licence so you can drive our large tankers ofwater!
As a Restoration Technician Apprentice, you'll train to become a fully qualified Restoration Technician within our Water Services team. As part of your apprenticeship, you will spend 24 months training and learning. This will be through a mixture of classroomstudy (1 week every month), and the rest of the time there will be on-the-job training with a mentor as you work towards a nationally recognised apprenticeship standard.
To be successful as an Anglian Water Apprentice you will require :
- Maths & English GCSE (grade A-C or 9-4) OR;
- Predicted Maths & English GCSE (grade A-C or 9-4) OR;?
- Proof of enrolment onto Level 2 Maths & English Functional Skills? ? ?
- An enthusiastic nature, a willingness to learn & team spirit
- A passion for practical work, the great outdoors and exceptional customer service
As well as the above, you will need a full UK driving license? (or be able to obtain one in the first 9 months of being successful on the apprenticeship scheme) along with living within a 30-minute radius of the advertised area, or within the circumferenceof the area the Apprentice will cover.? ?
