Head Barista

An exciting opportunity for a Head Barista role in each of our Hot Numbers cafés has become available. With the growing demand for training, increasing amounts of staff numbers and the need to make sure Hot Numbers upholds its high reputation in the coffee world, the Head Barista role is vital to being able to meet these standards.

Working closely with The Hot Numbers Coffee training department. You will receive one-to-one coaching on how to deliver coffee training to your colleagues; from basic coffee knowledge, working on the bar, using The Hot Numbers coffee equipment, upholding Hot Numbers high quality coffee standards and monitoring QC's on a day-to-day basis, basic machine repair, coffee orders both retail and café use.

We are looking for someone who...

• Has at least two year's experience as a Barista or Head Barista
• Is passionate about delivering the absolute best product and customer experience that Hot Numbers is well recognised for
• Can highlight individual skills while contributing to the effort of the whole team
• Is a natural communicator who can train, develop and support other team members
• Is dependable and committed to updating and supporting professional knowledge of speciality coffee and the Hot Numbers way of doing things.

What to expect...

You will receive one to one training from our Training Team on how to deliver consistent training across all sites.

Regular visits to the Roastery to develop skills, new training programmes, carry out regular cuppings and quality control measures on our coffee.

One of your main duties will be overseeing new and existing team members on all thing's coffee. You will be training them, shadowing them, and ensuring the same standard is delivered whether you are on shift or not.

Weekly meetings and catch ups as a team to discuss progression and needs of the team.

Salary : From £10.25 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Royston, Hertfordshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience :

• Barista experience: 2 years (required)
• Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
• Speciality Coffee: 1 year (preferred)
