Production Operations Finance Assistant (Part-time)

A fixed term (12 months) vacancy has arisen in the production operations and financial delivery team in Osterley. This small team supports the set up of new productions, the development activities of in house productions and the post production phase in terms of all Financial Operations activities. The role is part time and the hours are flexible - between 22.5 and 26 hours per week spread over 4 days to support the business needs. Two days would be required in office, the remaining at home - normally this is Tuesday and Friday. What you'll do: - Contracts: Review of writer and Talent contracts for payment plans and correct legal entities signatures - Processing of Talent invoices, including set up of approved vendor details in the master data tables, capture of invoice data & invoice validation and approval - Payment Runs set up a weekly payment run to ensure all outstanding and approved invoices are paid on time by Chaps (small volume) - General Ledger process journals in the GL to record transactions on a timely basis (e.g. receipt of funding). Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts. - Debit cards control the access to debit cards, ensure charges on the debit card are appropriate and approved, full reconciliation of debit card spend, that access is curtailed as productions cease. Process the expense transactions. - Bank & Cash ensure cashflow is available for Production payments and bank statements are reconciled to ledger accounts on a timely basis - Reporting assist with the management reporting of pilots, developments and post production of shows - Collaborate with Executive Producers, Line Producers, Production Managers, Production Accountants and Sky internal Finance teams to ensure the end to end costs of a production are recorded, tax credits claimed if applicable and recharges actioned. Costs are controlled appropriately at all stages of the production. - Audit: support annual statutory accounts audit with paperwork, evidence and accruals What you’ll bring: - Proven experience in compiling bank recs and processing Accounts payable - essential - Able to produce cost reports and understand and explain simple budgets and forecasts - desirable - AAT qualified or first stage of ACCA/CIMA completed - desirable but proven experience is as important - Accurate, numerate and a good communicator - A desire to learn about the industry of production The Rewards: There's one thing people can't stop talking about when it comes to #LifeAtSky: the perks.
