We are looking for highly motivated people, who have the ability to engage and inspire young students, and who are looking for an enriching and educational experience themselves.Key responsibilities:• Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of all students in our care• Monitor and supervise the student residence ensuring the proper safety, conduct and wellbeing of residents• Manage students’ behavior at all relevant times, with a judicious awareness of the need to sanction or encourage as appropriate• Chasing and finding students who are missing from the programme to maintain high safeguarding standards• Supporting and caring for sick students in camp• Carefully monitor the host institutions’ property, ensuring it is well looked after and any damage reported and investigated• Prioritize the safety of students above all else, following our Safeguarding and Health and Safety Policy• Be friendly and approachable whilst developing professional, positive relationships with students that help to enhance their overall experience• Ensure any concerns, worries or questions students may have are dealt with sensitively• Ensure any safeguarding concerns that come to your attention are dealt with sensitively, and information shared/escalated appropriately• Ensure the accommodation is kept tidy• Ensure the students go to bed and wake up at the appropriate times, accompanying them as necessary• Assist in the arrival check-in / departure check-out procedures• Assist with regular damage inspections• Assist with running of activities and excursions where required• Assist with any additional tasks as given by the camp management teamQualificationsYour profile:Essential:Excellent communication skills Excellent time management skills Being flexible and adaptable to change Excellent team work skills Knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate clearly Ability to work under pressure, multitask, prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlinesThe ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young peopleA positive attitude to the use of authority and maintaining disciplineHigh level of integrity Relate well to children and gain their trust and respectAble to empathize with the childrenHave experience working with Juniors in a care positionThe ability to continue having a positive attitude when facing adversity or difficult situationsDesirable:Experience of working with children and young people Safeguarding and Welfare experience with under 18s Experience with multiple departments and teams Experience in a summer school environment Safeguarding Level 1 and 2 Emotional resilience in working with challenging behavioursAdditional InformationWe offer you:A developing and enriching summer experienceThe chance to make long term connections and friendsMeaningful engagement with international students and the chance to give backA sense of belonging with many returning staff members each yearDevelopment of your social, relationship and leadership skillsJoin a booming community of Alpadia staff membersStart or continue your professional development (CPD) in a supportive coaching environmentAn industry competitive salaryRole training and the opportunity for experiential learning throughoutAn unforgettable experience in a dynamic atmosphereAn international working environmentFree entrance for all activities and excursionsAttractive bonus options for returners and the possibility of career progressionDid you know that staff members who work in summer camps develop skills that enhance their career advancement in the future?
