The Role

  • Working closely with the experienced and supportive SEN Teachers to provide students with a personalised, well pitched and meaningful learning curriculum
  • Reporting progress that students make in order to plan for progress in future planning
  • Understanding and using the college’s positive behaviour support plans, communication plans and sensory plans effectively, to help the students engage in their learning
  • Making engaging and creative learning resources that meet individual student’s learning needs
  • Being a positive, kind, professional and knowledgeable role model for the students and your colleagues
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals such as clinicians, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists to provide a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach to improving outcomes
