This local college are looking for support in Student Welfare administration

This is an ongoing temporary role

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Monday to Friday 08.00 - 16.00

The purpose of the post is :

  • To take a lead on the training and coordination of other staff who are involved in welfare and support advice, for example, the Student Organiser at the Feltham Skills Centre and other members of Student Experience as required by the Head of Student Experience.
  • To lead on developing and providing a comprehensive and flexible range of welfare support to our students around a diverse and complex range of issues.
  • To administer the Learner Support, Welfare and HE Access funds to support students financially with costs relating to their chosen courses.
  • To be an integral part of the Student Experience Team, assisting with other College events which include Open days, Freshers’ Fair, induction etc and attending relevant meetings.
  • Responsible for providing a flexible information, advice and referral service to students regarding general welfare issues for example, Benefits, Tax Credits, Funding, Homelessness, and Childcare
  • To take a lead on the training and coordination of other staff who are involved in welfare and support advice.
  • To brief the Head of Student Experience about any policy/guidance changes related to welfare and the administration of financial support for students.
