Experienced Paediatric Nurses – required urgentlyHours: Full and Part time hours available1 Post 3 x 12 hour waking night shifts2 posts of 2 x 12 hour night shifts and2 x 12 hour day shifts plus bank coverHourly Rate: £30.00 per hourResponsible to: Personal Health Budget EmployerLocation: Gateshead Urgent support required. A unique opportunity has arisen for registered paediatric nurses to work into a package of support for a young boy.We are looking for confident and competent experienced Registered Paediatric Nurses who can work in a community setting with a background in Critical Care/ICU. Experience of working with complex clinical care, Community care would be an advantage.The support is funded via a Personal Health budget and you will provide nursing care and support within a busy family home and in the community.Zac has a rare cardiac condition and needs round the clock care and support. There must be a nurse on shift all the time and you will be supported by a health care assistant.You will provide one on one care and support as well as working as part of a wider team. Essential Requirements:Experience:A minimum of 1 years’ experience and ability to work with and practice the following: Tracheostomy careVentilation careEnteral tube feedingOral suction / trache suctionMedication Administration and Pain ManagementSuction MachineNebuliserSaturation monitoring You will need to; Be a Registered Nurse with full awareness and understanding of NMC code of professional conductHave a Valid PIN / DBS Benefits: £30.00 per hour ratePart Time or Full Time – 12-hour shifts (days and nights available)6 weeks annual leaveEmployer Pension ContributionCOVID-19 considerations:All nurse are required to wear PPE in line with government guidance Experience: paediatric nursing: 1 year (preferred) Please see the for more informationAn enhanced DBS will be required for this role paid for by the employer.
