Job DescriptionIT Support Technician required. My client is a globally recognised as a market leader in Finished Vehicle Logistics. They have been established for over 30 years. They are now looking for an experienced IT Support Technician to join the team based in Carlisle. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for providing end-user support and maintaining IT infrastructure, managing incidents, and investigations of network and EDI communication problems. This role is also required to provide user support for Microsoft Office Applications & Business Applications. Position Overview Responding to support incidents and requests via phone, email or face to faceEnsure all incidents and requests are managed and updated in the service desk toolTroubleshoot and maintain all aspects of PC hardware, servers, peripherals and applicationsDeploy PC Hardware, servers, peripherals and maintain infrastructure recordsManage and support the telephone system and smartphonesTroubleshoot and resolve network and EDI communication problems Support Business & Desktop Applications Perform daily infrastructure checksManage Windows Active Directory, Group Policies, and Microsoft ExchangeApply OS and application upgrades, updates and fixesMaintain internal documentation and knowledgebase articlesHardware & Software configuration, deployment, installation & upgradesPatching & managing user access rights and security Position Requirements At-least 3 years in a similar roleGood knowledge of Windows Operating SystemsFundamental support knowledge of PC hardware, servers and peripheralsActive Directory and Group Policy Management ExperienceDesktop Deployment & Microsoft Exchange knowledgeExposure to VMWare vSphere Knowledge of Android and IOS Smartphones / ActiveSyncMicrosoft Office Applications; Excel, Word, Outlook & Power pointUnderstanding of basic networking conceptsEnd-user support experienceGood communication & problem-solving skills Position Remuneration Monday to FridaySalary: £28,000 – 33,000 (Dependant on experience)22 Days Holiday Plus Bank HolidaysPension SchemeParking on site
