Overview: Fixed Term 12 month Contract.

Remote/Hybrid working

Swissport has an opportunity for a Payroll Administraror on a full-time fixed term for up to 12 months. The position will report to the Payroll Manager and will be based at Swissport Runcorn. The position will be required to adminstor the payroll function and coordinate payroll activities for Swissport UK.

Responsibilities : Job Responsibilities

  • Utilise experience and knowledge to run a number of payrolls end to end
  • Query resolutions
  • Implement, improve and maintain payroll checklists, introducing best practice and internal control procedures where appropriate
  • Ensure timeliness and deadlines on all payroll cycles are met by the team
  • Administer and develop time and attendance systems for accuracy, auditing outputs
  • Compiling payroll/ad hoc reporting
  • Opening and closing payrolls each pay period
  • Assist with day to day processing and development
  • Ensure all errors are reported via the error report
  • Assist the Payroll Manager, HR and stations with adhoc requirements
  • Interpret company policies, contractual terms, and government regulations affecting payroll and entitlements.
  • Respond to notifications from state agencies or others regarding former employment of unemployment claims filed by former or existing employees

Qualifications: Qualifications and Competencies

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CiPP) certification preferred
  • Work experience in a fast paced payroll environment working with multiple locations and varying terms and conditions
  • Previous experience with ADP Freedom Software.
  • Ability to be able to calculate payslips manually
  • Ability to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated written and oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to effectively present information to the Payroll Team and in one-on-one and small group situations as well as other employees of the company.
