Wrixon Home Care provides live-in support for looked after people living in Suffolk

We are currently recruiting additional staff to join our committed team supporting three female adults each living in their own homes in Ipswich and Felixstowe

The role :

  • Providing supported living for looked after people in their own home

  • Working between two and four consecutive 24-hour sleep-in shifts within a flexible rota with between 6 and 10 shifts available per month What we need from you :

  • Due to the gender and specific support needs of the looked after people concerned, this role is available to female applicants only

  • Personal qualities:

  • Patience as well as a calm and confident persona

  • Motivational skills

  • Willingness to roll up one’s sleeves and get ‘stuck in’ when required

  • Good sense of humour

  • A full driving licence and satisfactory driving record are essential as you would be expected to drive the looked after person in their own car to appointments, visits, days out etc

  • Ability to:

  • Maintain a safe, secure and hygienic home environment and have basic cooking skills

  • Work alone but also as part of a small, dedicated, team,

  • Carry out personal care for those looked after people who cannot properly care for themselves

  • Respect the wishes of the looked after people, and their home, whilst balancing the need to provide effective support to achieve the best possible outcomes for them

The rewards :
