Smart City Recruiters Ltd are looking for a Civils Scheduler to be part of our client project team, based out of their Bellshill office.

What will you be doing?

They have an opportunity for a civils planner to join their planning team who cover projects across Scotland. You will be working alongside the Head of Planning, Senior Planners, Site Team & Contracts Managers to develop a detailed delivery. Primarily focusing on our civils works on the SPEN contract for client as well as large scale works. You will work to achieve deadlines and schedule gangs work. Liaise with the planning lead to make sure all planned work is on track that has been set out by the project manager which enables us to stay on track with the project as a whole.

What will your key responsibilities be?

  • Responsible for generating a programme of work within a Civil Engineering Contract.
  • To maintain the plan to a level to optimise programme performance & maximise outputs
  • Timelines and deadlines for projects are being tracked.
  • Must have Microsoft and Excel skills
  • Comfortable working logically with numbers.
  • Liaise with the planning lead as required to develop / optimise the whole team capability
  • Maintaining an up to date and clear project tracker

What competencies are we looking for?

  • Experience of working in the Power / utilities industry would be advantageous.
  • Experience of following processes and procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft packages.
  • A strong background in scheduling and planning.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
