The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Network Solutions Consultant to join us here at Block Solutions, as part of our core Enterprise Networks team. As a Network Solutions Consultant you will work alongside the sales team, to design tailored network solutionsfrom Blocks core technology portfolio, supporting our clients business needs and technology journey, across both the public and private sectors.

Role Responsibilities

• Assists the wider sales teams to appropriately recognise, qualify and prioritise customer opportunities
• Utilises technical expertise to accurately design and a solution which meets the client’s needs based on products and services from Block portfolio
• Owns the technical contribution into proposal content, RFIs, RFPs, ITTs and presentations
• Ensures designed solutions always deliver the desired value to both the client and Block
• Ensures opportunities are handed over to delivery in a timely and professional manner, supported by an accurate Scope of Works, Professional Service breakdown and Bill of Materials
• Effectively manages time and workload to ensure client commitments and deadlines are met
• Contributes to the development of compelling and differentiated Enterprise Networking (EN) propositions in line with the Block proposition development process
• Keeps abreast of vertical industry and horizontal technology developments that may impact or create opportunities for Block to improve its capability

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Demonstrable experience and success in designing and/or operating EN environments architected using technology from Block’s strategic vendor portfolio.
• Subject Matter Expert within EN domain, ideally evidenced by professional certifications (eg. CCNP)
• Routing & Switching; Catalyst & Nexus Switching / Cisco DNA and SDA
• Security; ASA / FirePower / ISE / ACS / Umbrella / StealthWatch
• Wireless; Wireless LAN Controllers / Access Points / DNA spaces / RF / DNA - Centre
• Data Centre Networking; Nexus Switching / ACI
• Ability to demonstrate a strategic mindset to enable value-led conversations with customers at
• 'decision-maker’ level
• Architectural’ approach to solution design, with the ability to elevate client engagements up from a point solution to long term infrastructure vision and associate roadmaps
• Understanding of the support and managed service considerations associated with EN infrastructure
