​Project OfficerFTC – Until March 2025 with possibility of extension Cardiff (Flexible hybrid working – Must be in the office every Monday)Salary - £29,641 per annumFull Time – 35 hours per week. Flexible hours between 8am – 6pmAnnual leave: 26 days, 8 Bank Holidays and 3.5 office closure days Pension: After probationary period matched employer contribution up to maximum of 5% of salary Our client is looking for a Project Officer on a FTC until March 2025 initially to join their team.Essential•Working with external colleagues and stakeholders, particularly health and social care professionals•Leading and facilitating meetings to generate discussions and actions•Creation of strong written resources including informational leaflets•Notetaking and communication following meetings•Knowledge of unpaid carers and the issues they face, in particular older carers•Understanding of project management tools and methods•Knowledge of stakeholder management •Working knowledge of the political landscape in Wales, and the UK•Use of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel Powerpoint etc and meeting software such a MS Teams and Zoom•Understanding of the health and social care landscape as it pertains to unpaid carers•Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, including excellent grammar and spelling skills, an eye for detail and accuracy.•Expert attention to detail, including excellent proofreading and editing skills•Exceptional organisational skills and an ability to manage the projects with multiple stakeholders across the organisation. •Fluent in Welsh would be desirable but not essentialResponsibilities•Creating of resources, including reports, promotional materials, and information leaflets to improve the experiences and outcomes of older carers and carers of people with dementia•Planning and delivering online and in person Community of Practice sessions focussed on carers of people with dementia •Managing relationships with professionals within and outside of the community of practice to identify and act upon opportunities to improve the experiences of carers of people with dementia •Contributing the voice of unpaid carers within health and social care spaces to improve professional practice relating to carers of older people and people with dementia•Organising events and supporting the delivery of external engagement events •Working with a UK-wide team to support the adaptation of resources relating to young carers for use in Wales•To be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults and children.•To work at all times within the philosophy and policies of our client.•To comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and with our client’s policy, paying particular attention to the reporting of dangerous situations.•To have a commitment to developing quality by the implementation of our client’s quality evaluation tools along with any other standards set by our client.•To respect the personal choice and lifestyles of colleagues, carers, and people with care needs, ensuring that equality and diversity principles are applied at all times.•To undertake any other duties that may be considered commensurate with the level of the post.
