Then look no further…We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Controller to join our Above Water Systems (AWS) UK team in either Bristol, or Crawley, West Sussex.What the role has to offer:Working in an exciting new business line: AWS (Above Water Systems)You will be joining at the initial project stages and will be able to establish project control disciplinesPotential for internal mobility opportunity within the Business line.Great career development opportunityHybrid working (3 days in the office / 2 days from home)Core Benefits:On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes;Performance-related bonusHalf day every Friday, usually finishing around 13:00pm28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) plus opportunity to buy up to 40 hours/year (pro rata)24 hours volunteering paid forPrivate healthcare (grade dependent)Pension schemeLife cover24/7 Employee Assistance Program and access to mental wellbeing appEmployee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailersGym membership discountsKey responsibilities:Provide specialised Project Controls support including the provision of accurate, integrated and meaningful bid and / or project planning and reporting.Ensure best practice Project Controls are deployed across bids and projects in accordance with defined Thales processes.Interpret and clearly present data from those Controls, as actionable information for Project Leadership and Senior Management decision-making.Ensure that all Projects have a robust Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Performance Management Baseline (PMB).Deployment and performance of Project Controls within a Portfolio or Project.Identifying trends, analysis of variances and recommending appropriate corrective actions.Ensure a strong focus on proactive risk and opportunity management, including identification and support to the resolution of cross-portfolio risks/issue themes.Identity and track cross-portfolio dependencies.Establish and operate an appropriate business rhythm/drumbeat E.g. ETC Reviews, Schedule Reviews, Risk Reviews, Reporting Activities.Consolidate reports, ensuring that reports are issued in a timely manner, and the facilitation of Project reviews.Ensure resource forward load is accurate and timely, including the analysis of resource profiles (labour and material) and making recommendations to reconcile anomalies and optimise deployment.There will be travel required twice a month to other Thales UK sites (Bristol / Crawley / Reading) and occasional trips to Poland or the Netherlands. About you: You will have a proven track record of successfully designing, deploying, operating and/or improving the full range of Project Controls, in the role of a Project Controller or Planner.Experience using Primavera P6 is desirable, though not essential.You will be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders in complex environments and working across functional boundaries.You will have an awareness and understanding of advanced Project Control techniques E.g. Earned Value Management and Schedule Risk Analysis, with experience of deploying these techniques for more senior positions.Lastly, you will be able to define and implement appropriate KPIs to understand progress and provide insight into likely future performance.#LI-DNIIn line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
