Role overview

The Head of Digital role is a senior, strategic role focussed on building and delivering a best-in-class Digital Marketing and media solution for our clients. We’re looking for the best Digital Marketing talent in the industry to join us, to shape the future of digital at ZEAL. This will be an exciting and wide-reaching role focussing on the agency’s approach, product offering, team structure and delivery model.

You will be forward thinking in all things Digital, well connected, diplomatic, pro-active, and solutions oriented. You will also have leadership experience within a digital SME or agency and have demonstrable experience of building and implementing digital strategies.

Responsibilities

  • To shape Zeal’s digital product, delivery approach and proposition to deliver high impact, best-in-class digital marketing, content and media solutions for global brands.
  • This is a board level position, you’ll be responsible for digital growth, resourcing and delivery quality and will be reporting to the board at regular meetings
  • Be a trusted senior partner to our clients by creating close relationships and building confidence through seamless delivery and strategic council
  • Provide inspiration and mentorship to the agency, guiding them on their professional development and deepening their knowledge and confidence in digital
  • Define and govern the end-to-end delivery processes including providing clarity on roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop new business proposals and attend pitches, building confidence amongst our clients and prospects in Zeal’s ability to create world-class digital marketing and solutions
  • Identify on board and manage digital outsourcing partners including responsibility for contracts and SLAs
  • Co-ordinate and integrate digital expertise into other agency departments including Account management, Strategy, Creative, Design, Project Management
  • Drive an exciting and robust innovation agenda ensuring Zeal’s product offering stays at the forefront of the industry

Key skills and experience

  • Strong leadership capability. This is a senior role reporting to the board.
  • Digital all-rounder with proven experience and strong understanding of multiple digital media channels (ecommerce, online display, social, paid search, SEO, programmatic, etc.) as well as a passionate following of new/emerging channels & technologies (e.g. web3 / metaverse)
  • Hands on knowledge with key Digital tools such as CMS systems, CX platforms (Adobe Experience Manager, Braze), insights (TGI & Google Analytics), search trends, ad servers, social analytics, data visualisation & analysis tools
  • Experience managing digital delivery with both in-house teams, freelancers and outsource partners (both on and offshore would be a bonus)
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and associated tools and frameworks
  • You will have confidence and gravitas in your approach, with the experience of independently presenting work to senior clients
  • High level of commercial acumen, in order to identify patterns, interrogate data and create actionable insights to inform business decisions
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills including the ability to solve issues (both technical and operational) quickly and creatively
  • Experience in allocating people to projects, managing workloads and supporting a team in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in estimating effort and managing risk on a project to ensure high quality, smooth delivery and profitable results for the agency
  • Ability to thrive and work independently in an incredibly fast-paced, dynamic environment while ensuring high quality and consistency
