Integration Accountant

Jensten Group are continuing to grow and as such are recruiting an additional role to join the finance team.  Following the recent announcement from CFO Ed Hanan that  Jensten secures funding boost to power growth in 2024 the finance team are seeking to add a newly qualified accountant to its mix preferably with an advisory background.  The Group Integration Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the execution of the finance integration workstream, ranging from ensuring the seamless integration of the acquired businesses financial processes into the Group to performing acquisition accounting responsibilities. Integration activity will include: Introduce key financial controls in line with the Group’s procedures and ensure that the acquired entity adopts the Group’s accounting policies as per the integration plan. Manage the month end process on the acquired company’s existing accounting system in parallel with the new entity on the Group Accounting system. Support the Completion Accounts process, within the deadline per the SPA. Assist with the transition of the existing accounting software with Group Accounting system and then manage the changeover from that system to the Group Accounting system. Assist in the execution of the integration plan for the transition of Finance functions from the acquired entity to the central finance team. Responsibility for the preparation of the acquired entity’s first set of statutory accounts covering the pre/ post-acquisition periods. Manage the transfer of Corporation Tax preparation to the Groups advisers, ensuring the correctness of the pre-acquisition tax payable position. Experience / Qualifications Required:  Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA). Proven project management experience, either in practice or industry. Strong understanding of UKGAAP. Excellent interpersonal skills. The ability and gravitas to quickly build strong and trusting relationships with the Senior Management team of the acquired business. Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills. Highly numerate, analytical, possess the ability to work to demanding and tight timescales. Experience of preparing statutory accounts. A collaborative disposition with a desire to pitch in to assist the wider Finance team when required. About Us:  Launched in 2018 Jensten is one of the UK's largest independent broking groups.
