Organise the receipt, storage and maintain stock levels of EBME medical spares. To obtain the necessary quotes as defined by Trusts financial standing instructions. Raise the order paperwork for authorisation and send to suppliers.Receipting delivery's, Input the information on the computerised stock management system or distribute non-stock spares to end users.To keep the computerised stock records up to date. Detailed job description and main responsibilities We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic person to join our Electro-Biomedical Engineering (EBME) team to maintain an equipment library of medical devices and consumables for reutilisation across the wards at George Eliot Hospital.Duties include:Carrying out delivery and collection of a wide variety of medical equipment to and from wards and clinical areas.Maintenance of a computerised inventory of equipment. Tracking equipment such as bed/dynamic mattress activity using electronic tracking system.Responding to telephone requests for equipment under all conditions of urgency maintaining records of all requests.Ensuring equipment is decontaminated by clinical staff in accordance with manufacturers and Trust guidance.To operate the Trusts computerised purchasing system, to ensure spare parts are maintained and replenished. To obtain the necessary quotes defined by the Trusts financial standing instructions and carry out the generation of electronic orders and oversee deliveries.
