Parenting Support Family Time Worker Job descriptionContract Type: PermanentHours: Full Time 37 hours per week Location of post: Pendarvis Family Centre, Port TalbotWorkstyle: You will be a mobile hybrid worker We are currently looking for a Parenting Support and Family Time Worker to join a very successful team in our Family Contact Centre based in Port Talbot. The successful applicant will provide a high-quality Family Time service and will support families to develop parenting skills for Looked After Children in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures and best practice. As well as supervising family time, the role entails contributing to Life Story work with Looked After Children, supporting the case management role, observing and recording family time, transporting children when required, and attending meetings and reviews.The post requires a minimum of 4 GCSE’s grade C or above, one of which must be English or Welsh plus Mathematics, or equivalent, as well as a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children’s) or a willingness to work towards the qualification.Experience of direct work with children and families is essential to this role.Neath Port Talbot Council is totally committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
