Job description School Intervention Worker (SEMH)ABOUT THE SCHOOLProspero Teaching is looking for a resilient and energetic Intervention Worker to support students in a Secondary SEMH Alternative Provision in Preston. The school is for students in KS3-KS4, many of whom have an EHCP. The school is a provision for a range of needs, including ASD, and severe social, emotional and mental health difficulties, for example, ADHD. Class sizes are small with a teaching assistant to support each class. The school differentiates the curriculum to ensure all pupils can access it, for example, by grouping, 1:1 work, teaching style, content of the lesson. Located in Preston the school is easily accessed by public transport with bus stops nearby. The school has onsite parking available. The position is open to all experienced and those who have a strong background in youth work or have any other experience of mentoring children and young adults.
