PMO Leader UK & Ireland We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Management Office (PMO) Leader to oversee and drive the successful delivery of our key strategic portfolio of initiatives within our organisation and the supporting program and projects team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading, managing, and motivating teams, working cross functionally, and driving complex projects and programs for the business. The PMO Leader will report directly into the VP, Customer Operations UK & Ireland and will be responsible to guide the organisation through change, driving a successful portfolio of projects and programs and motivating and developing the team. You will have experience of leading a high performing team, working cross functionally and can be both strategic and tactical with an ability to both develop and execute on plans. In addition to leading the team and overseeing the portfolio you may also lead on a key change initiative for the business. Responsibilities: Act as a trusted partner to the VP of Operations and key senior stakeholders to ensure a suitable portfolio of programs and projects linked directly to our strategy. Develop and execute comprehensive program and project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation and coach others accordingly. Lead and manage the PMO team’s portfolio of projects to ensure continuity, coverage, and consistency (across the portfolio) and to enable efficient enterprise planning and execution. Oversee and direct PMO portfolio activities relating to cost, resources, timelines and schedule of investment, magnitude, and timing of benefits to be realized, and relationship interdependencies with other projects in the portfolio. Communicate portfolio and project objectives, status, and outcomes to key stakeholders and senior leadership. Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues to ensure successful project completion and transparency throughout. Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance within the projects team. Monitor and report on the progress of projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices. Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of initiatives. Monitoring and reporting on the progress of the portfolio, reporting on value delivered of each business case during project execution and measure value as defined in the business case after project completion. Be a customer advocate, clearly articulate the benefits of adopting new ways of working both for the customer and Schneider Electric Provide thought leadership and strategic thinking to identify the project pipeline that will most effectively drive transformation and business performance. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices Person requirements and considerations: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; PMP or other project management certifications preferred. Proven experience leading a team, complex programs and projects. Experienced in working with all levels across the organisation, including executive leadership, can adjust style accordingly. Minimum 10+ years’ experience within a similar role, strong business acumen, can connect the dots cross-functionally and achieve results. Demonstrated aptitude to take complex topics and translate these into a framework for discussions, planning and execution. Communication: excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Can convey complicated matters in a simple, structured way to senior management. Interpersonal Skills: builds internal relationships and experienced in partnering at a leadership level as a trusted advisor. Collaboration and Teamwork: experienced working as part of a team, including cross functionally and working well with others. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
