This team is responsible for the support of our application wherever it is used, and due to increased demand for always-on services, we are scaling up to staff our Level 1 team for a 24x7 service.  The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced L1 Application Support Engineer looking to take the next step in their career and step into a supervisory role. Leading by example you will be at the front line of our support team, showing what operational excellence looks like.  Key Responsibilities Supervising and performing the triage & response portion of our incident management process Hands-on incident resolution as/when required Ensure adherence to SLAs across all customers Respond to escalations from customers and internal stakeholders Performance monitoring and coaching to improve team metrics and productivity Continuous improvement of internal operating procedures and policies relevant to the role  Perform proactive maintenance tasks or small pieces of work during quieter periods Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Required:  Previous Line Manager experience  Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential Service Desk Operations   Ticket management   ITIL  System Administration Azure Active Directory/Entra ID o  Active Directory  Windows Server 201x  Desirable : Database Administration   MS-SQL – particularly Azure SQL Database  Scripting PowerShell/Bash  The successful candidate must be able to travel regularly to either our Glasgow Office - G1 1RE, or our Edinburgh Office, EH12 5HD.
