You will manage the site based quality systems, support delivery of BRC standards across the site and manage the delivery of all QA tasks across the site. You will ensure that relevant food safety, product quality and integrity standards are monitored and maintained.Working hours: Mon - Friday to although some flexibility will be required to support all shifts and teams. This role will also provide out of hours support on alternate weekends and during holidays.What you’ll do (job tasks and responsibilities)Ensure the operational process and production of finished goods is appropriately controlled, via HACCP, to ensure compliance with food safety and legal standardsProvide management support and regular meeting cadence to the QA teamWork collaboratively within the site and across all sites to deliver a consistent approach to food safety & qualityChampion and manage the site quality management system including document control in line with group/central systems to BRC standardsReview, generate and implement relevant FSQMS procedures & records as requiredConduct and coordinate food safety, quality and integrity root cause investigations (including complaints) and implementation of corrective and preventative actions with other departmentsEnsure all relevant site allergen risk assessments, swabbing and validation programmes are completed and maintainedFacilitate and Support site auditsWork with the raw materials team to implement appropriate intake testing schedulesDevelop and maintain GMP audits to include Fabric, Housekeeping, Glass & Hard Plastic, Personnel and PPERepresent Food Technical in various site / multi department / project meetings when / as agreed with the Site Technical ManagerQualificationsSkills, knowledge and abilities required to be effective in this positionExperienced in a Supervisory or management position, ideally within a Food Technical capacityExperience in Food Safety Quality Management SystemPractical Internal Audit & Non conformance management experienceAllergen Management & risk assessment experienceActive HACCP team experienceExperience of operating to BRC standardsExperience in GMP auditing and Non conformance programmesExperience of working with chilled or high risk foods (advantageous)Full Driving licenceGoogle Workspace experienceAbility to analyse data, draw conclusions & make recommendationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersGood accuracy and attention to detailExcellent planning and organisational skills of a teamGood problem solving and risk based decision-making skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesQualifications required:Qualified to a relevant Food Science, Food Technology or Microbiological degree standard or equivalent or minimum 5 years food technical experience. Level 3 HACCP certified Level 3 Food Safety certified. Allergen TrainingAuditor qualificationAdditional InformationBenefits:23 days paid leave (plus bank holidays) which increases annually40% Gousto discount, Your first Gousto box FREE, 15% Gousto discount for friends and family, and the sharing of free food as available Pension HealthcareAccess to Aviva digital GP and wellness app~Gym membershipEmployee assistance, discounts and cashback via TelUs HealthCycle to work schemeHot food canteen (Warrington only)Staff shop with lots of food freebies! Equal Opportunities Here at Gousto, we are on a mission to become the UK's most loved way to eat dinner!Whether it is creating diversity in our recipes or building new teams, we care about our people and the opportunities they have at Gousto. We are committed to equality of opportunity across our organisation.
