Connex Education is thrilled to be recruiting on behalf of a SEND School located in the London Borough of Redbridge. With school holidays now here, we are looking to register candidates who are keen to start work in the new academic year (September ).Position: Learning Support Assistant Contract Type: Long Term Full-time or Flexible Daily Supply Location: London Borough of Redbridge Start Date: September Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications About the School: Age Range: Serves pupils aged 4-16 years oldSpecial Needs: Admits students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)Professional Development: Offers comprehensive CPD packages, daily training, and wellbeing incentivesWork Environment: Provides excellent working conditions, resources, and opportunities for growth Key Responsibilities: Student Support: Assist students across all areas of the school, demonstrating an optimistic and aspirational attitude towards their development.Training: Undertake necessary training to acquire skills required to work effectively in a specialist setting.Collaboration: Work with the staff team to ensure the needs of pupils are prioritized and met effectively.Contribution: Embrace opportunities and challenges presented within the role, contributing to the overall success of the school community. Selection Criteria: Experience: Experience or interest in working with children with Learning Difficulties within either an educational setting or transferable sectors such as care & support work.Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or above, CACHE Level 2 or above (desirable).Training: Willingness to undertake relevant online CPD courses/training prior to starting the role.Pupil Focus: Prioritize the needs of pupils and demonstrate a willingness to learn new roles.Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.Flexibility: Adaptable approach to working with pupils, meeting their diverse needs.
