Quality Technician

Rotherwood Recruitment are working in partnership with a well respected engineering company based in Burnley. Due to continuous growth they are now looking to recruit a Quality Technician. The role: To ensure that the business has effective & robust measurement methods in place to validate all products, including incoming products and internally produced components, to meet the quality standards required by the customer and the organisation, withinthe production facility Ensure that all 1st off set up components are approved by Quality, and conform to all customer design specifications in line with engineering drawings, 3D CAD, and all relevant engineering specifications Be responsible for identifying and raising quality issues and to ensure a prompt resolution to the customer. Support the operations team investigating Quality issues with the use of various measurement techniques, and supporting the validation of corrective and preventative action implementation through the use of statistical process control data (SPC) Experience of successfully working within an engineering focused environment which incorporates elements of - Operating CMM machines to measure components to support production in a fast-paced environment - In-process inspection of machined parts Knowledge and experience of CNC machining processes to ensure collaboration with production engineers to resolve machining issues with use of measurement data Knowledge and experience with assembly processes such as rivnut/rivstud assembly In depth knowledge of engineering drawings, 3D CAD, Engineering specifications Ability to work manual measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, height gauges etc.) Great visual inspection skills, attention to detail Working hours are 7.45am, to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 7.45am till 1pm Friday. £15 per hour
