Our Global Operations Team – all business professionals of the firm – was named the “Best Business Team” by The American Lawyer.The Senior eBilling Specialist will be primarily responsible for ensuring eBilled transactions are successfully submitted and approved, by reviewing rates, disbursement controls and outside council billing guidelines to ensure matter set-up and billing set-up are accurate to reduce billing rejections, short payments and delays in invoice submission. In addition, as this role is within the wider Billing & Collections Department, assistance may be needed in other areas including but not isolated to general billing & collections support, plus client and matter set-up.What you will do:Manage submission of ebills for designated business unit/location/platform;Review, implement and communicate outside council guidelines including set up rate structures, task & activity codes and add to matter plans;Review disbursement constraints and implement controls to avoid unrecoverable costs;Onboarding within vendors for all ebill setup – along with ebill configuration;Collaborate with key stakeholders to facilitate building rate cards and client templates for proposed client pricing arrangements and rate submissions;Support billing and finance teams with rate-related inquiries;Support requests to analyse client and matter level rate information; including responding to timekeeper rate inquiries;Drive analysis of client, matter and portfolio reporting; communicating trends and realization implications to key stakeholders;Establish and implement standard billing rates for new timekeepers;Develop, prepare and communicate rate/fee arrangements to attorneys; including walking through rate card proposals, methodologies and best business practices;Lead the development of Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and reporting to ensure data governance and integrity;Submit, review and maintain rate submissions to ebilling vendors;Oversee short payment process and coordinate appeal audits & transactions;Participate in technology reviews and undertake extensive user acceptance testing (UAT) pertaining to BI reporting tools and systems;Contribute to, help manage, and enhance resources and content on the intranet, collaboration website and document management system.Who you are:3+ years' of experience within a billing department minimum;Professional services or law firm experience essential;Superior analytical and organizational skills;Excellent written and oral communication skills; including the ability to work independently;Advanced MS Excel and Access skills;Intermediate with MS Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio;Experienced in Business Intelligence (and Business Applications) development;Ability to protect and maintain confidential and sensitive information.Goodwin Procter LLP is an equal opportunity employer.
