HR Manager/Advisor

I am currently recruiting for my client in the Food Production Industry with very high quality products.

Duties include :

  • Responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the HR function.
  • Executing the day-to-day HR business and contributing to the future shape of the HR function.
  • Maintaining and updating HR policies and procedures
  • Controlling and administering all disciplinary action, grievances, and all associated investigations.
  • Liaise with line managers to identify recruitment needs.
  • Collaborate to discuss job descriptions and person specifications as vacancies arise or positions change.
  • Running the recruitment process, from interviews to inductions.
  • Complete reference checks for all new staff. Agency transfers excluded.
  • Ensuring all right to work documentation is approved.
  • Issuing offers, handbooks and contracts of employment to new employees as well as all other necessary documentation
  • Manage temporary worker agencies to ensure production demand is met.
  • Manage all types of leave including Maternity, Paternity and other special leave requests.
  • Managing leavers and conducting Exit Interviews.
  • Assisting in the preparation for Payroll.
  • Reporting KPIs monthly to Directors.

Person Specification :

  • CIPD Level 5 preferred but not essential
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • Excellent working knowledge of employment law
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
