Responsibilities :
- Manage complex public health issues and act as a change agent to improve health outcomes.
- Provide briefings on local health and wellbeing needs to stakeholders including Councillors, Council Officers, ICSs, the third sector, and the public.
- Develop, implement, and deliver policies based on needs assessments and lead in developing detailed inter-agency and interdisciplinary strategic plans and programs.
- Contribute to the procurement process and provide expert public health support and whole system leadership to ensure equitable services.
- Utilize information and intelligence systems to underpin public health action and provide leadership for the production of the JSNA.
- Integrate public health, NHS, and social care outcomes frameworks within systems developed by the local authority.
Requirements :
- Master's or PhD degree in medicine or equivalent medical qualification.
