Job summary We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant for our Prisons Service. To succeed you must have excellent communication skills and a flexible, proactive approach to delivering first class diagnostic services and patient care. The post holder will work closely with Sonographers and Radiologists, supporting them with patients during their clinics. Training is provided and further career development opportunities throughout the company.The post holder will be required to travel to different sites and will require business car insurance. You may be required to drive a van to transport equipment. This may include helping patients move between positions, helping patients stand etc, in which effective manual handling techniques are required.Assist the Clinician during examinations, as requested. This may include interventional procedures and the handling and use of sterile consumables.Ensure the smooth running of clinics.Ensure clinical rooms are prepared to the appropriate level of cleanliness, as described in the Infection Control policy, prior to the start of the clinical session.Where required maintain knowledge of the Healthshare Radiology Information System (Soliton) in order to, interrogate the database, update details and print clinic lists. Ensuring all aspects are undertaken within the Data Protection guidelines.
