Health Care Support Worker

Job Summary : As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will provide essential support to healthcare professionals and assist in delivering high-quality care. Your role will be providing practical support for individuals and their families, such as helping with household tasks, personal care and paperwork. Supporting and monitoring their healthcare needs, including administering medication and temperature checks. Supporting them to pursue hobbies and interests.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist Service users with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Support mobility and physical comfort by helping patients move, turn, and position themselves.
• Assist in the delivery of personal hygiene and toileting needs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts with relevant information.
• Assist with the coordination of patient care plans and follow-up activities.
• Provide emotional support.
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
• Ensure the safe disposal of medical waste.
• Support and assisting services users to pursue their hobbies and attend any appointments

Experience :

• 6 months experience as a support worker/ healthcare assistant

• Physical stamina and the ability to perform demanding tasks.

Job Types : Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.29-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 33 per week
