Class 1 Driver

Pertemps are currently recruiting for Class 1 drivers to work for our client based in Grimsby. You will be required to deliver and collect a containers from the docks. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting containers to and from various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of cargo.What days will I be working? We have various shifts available, covering days and nights.How much will I be paid? Monday to Friday (AM) - £14:00phMonday to Friday (PM) - £15:00phSaturday - £16:00phSunday - £17:00phWhat will I be required to do? Operate Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws.Transport containers to assigned destinations using the most effective routes.Perform pre-trip, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories.Ensure cargo is secure and compliant with safety standards.Maintain communication with the dispatch team to report any issues or delays.Assist in loading and unloading containers as needed.What skills and experience do I require? Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record.Minimum of 1 year of experience driving Class 1 vehicles.Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and truck maintenance.Familiarity with the use of GPS devices and electronic devices.How to Apply:This is an ongoing HGV Driver role.
