Job DescriptionThe purpose of this role is to complete, to the required quality standards, the preparation of samples for a given method and to assist in the efficient day-to-day operation of the laboratory. This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week - Wednesday to Sunday 07:00 - 15:00. Full training for this role is provided, no previous experience necessary.Preparation and analysis of water samples utilising good laboratory practice.Preparing and dispensing consumablesUndergo training and follow laboratory SOPs and Safe Systems of WorkEnsure samples received are handled in accordance with documented procedures, including attention to temperature control, storage and maintenance of sample integrity.Maintenance of accurate and systematic records as detailed in the quality procedures.Perform calibrations, daily checks and other quality related tasks as required.Work with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement.Report any anomalies or concerns to direct report.Provide a high level of internal and external customer care. Comply with Health and Safety procedures keeping the working environment clean and tidy.
